"I have been taking lessons from Paulino
Velasco for roughly the last 4 months via voice
chat. I was a hair skeptical before beginning the
classes because I didn't know if it was practical
to study Spanish in such a way. However, I have
been really happy with them.

Velasco has been at this for a long time. In

Before beginning my program with Professor
Velasco I had attended several group lessons.
Group lessons are fine but at times they can be
either too slow and not challenging, or too fast
and you feel left behind. No so with Professor
Paulino Velasco!   Because the program is
customized to each student's specific needs,
you will be able to learn at your own pace.
    I have now been studying with Professor
Velasco for several months and truly have
enjoyed the lessons. Each lesson is thorough,
detailed, and very motivating. Professor Velasco
is extremely patient, speaks at a rate that is
easily understandable, and also has a great
sense of humor. He especially has a knack for
explaining the especially difficult parts of
Spanish grammar.
   If you are serious about improving your
Spanish, these lessons are great. You will find

Commentary to my classes in
Cuernavaca

The three months in Spanish Tutor Online were very
intensive days for me. I was almost tired after working as
a voluntary during the day and went to school at 3 or 4 pm.
But the way Paulino introduced Spanish to me was
always fresh and interesting. First, I would like to
comment on how we proceeded the class, and second,
what I can do with Spanish after all.
After 2.5 months classes, I am now able to speak very
basic conversation, to write very simple documents, and
to read some articles with a help of dictionary. I also
learned a lot about Mexican culture, history, society, and
politics. I am very content with my improvement and
understanding.
It was good that Paulino offered other materials from his
own textbook and visual materials.Gracias Paulino!

I thoroughly enjoy the internet Spanish classes that
I have participated in with Professor Paulino Velasco.
The learning experience has been very fulfilling, and my
ability to speak Spanish has steadily improved. The
convenience of the in-home classes have been very
compatible with my life. I am a homeschooling mom of
four daughters, and caregiver to my family and home.
These responsibilities do not allow me the time to take
classes in the community very easily, therefore, this
method of learning is just right for my family and me.
Professor Lino is very knowledgeable in his teaching
methods and passionate about his desire to help his
students. He has an enormous amount of patience and

Paulino has provided me with an easy way to do this.
Weekly we converse in Spanish through Yahoo instant
messenger using microphones plugged into our
computers. When I am having trouble understanding a
word or phrase or construction, Paulino can type it and it
appears on my screen. This has proved to be both a great
discipline for me and also an enjoyable way to spend an
hour.

By US standards, Paulino's fees are a great bargain. I pay
him once a quarter and this helps me maintain my
discipline as well, as I want to do the lessons I have paid
